MOVING TO MONTGOMERY COUNTY? For families purchasing homes, Montgomery County requires proof of residence.  Due to the popularity of Montgomery County Public Schools, attempts to enroll children who are not eligible for attendance requires that the school system monitor carefully.  Elegibility for entrance is possible with a lease in the district or a contract of sale for a home in the district.  The Montgomery County Board of Education strictly follows their enrollment eligibility guidelines.

For children who do not live with a parent, legal gardian, or certified relative, contact Enrollment and Attendance Compliance office at 301-315-7324.
